With the unique combination of our personalized software and support, you can thrive in your journey to improving and maintaining wellness, organization, and independence.

How We Started

Alyssa Antcliff, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist who saw an immense need for innovation in the support provided and therapeutic approaches implemented when serving patients and their families across medical, community, and home settings.

She observed how challenging it was for her patients and families to communicate when not in the same location, coordinate patient care, and use either paper-based tools or multiple different mobile applications to track important information such as medications, appointments, physician contact info, diagnoses, to-do lists, etc. There had to be a solution, yet it was impossible to find.

Thus, since 2020, our team has been developing IndiAide to be an all-encompassing, customizable, user-friendly tool to support individuals in maintaining organization, connection, and independence.

Research

IndiAide software has been the center of a research study determining the usability of our application with adults with mild cognitive impairment related to Parkinson's disease (PD-MCI). The study first used our software with older adults with typical cognition who were comfortable with technology, then older adults with typical cognition who were uncomfortable or minimally comfortable with technology. The final group included participants with PD-MCI.

Per quantitative and qualitative study results, IndiAide was received positively by all groups. Additionally, participants with mild cognitive impairment did not require more time nor assistance to complete study tasks relative to neurotypical groups. Study findings supported the use of IndiAide as a cognitive support application.

IndiAide is currently in a new, ongoing 2-phase study at the University of Washington.
